Our day school program is the cornerstone of our program. This is the time that the curriculum is rigorously followed. For the full benefit of the curriculum, please enroll and attend during these school times.
BCA’s Preschool program is designed for children who do not understand or speak Spanish but is also perfect for native Spanish speakers. Our preschool provides an opportunity for children to learn Spanish through the experiences presented in a typical childhood curriculum. Children learn developmentally-appropriate, functional use of the Spanish language.
Our program is highly interactive and uses music, art and cultural expression to enhance learning. This Spanish immersion approach to learning has proven to be unique and highly successful alternative to bilingual education and is conducted in a relaxed, academic and creative environment.
We believe that well-planned classroom environments are paramount to the success of a child’s growth and development. Lesson plans are designed by our own teachers with a balanced focus on spiritual development, readiness skills, pre-writing skills, social skills, and self-help skills. This allows us to meet the unique needs and interests of each child. Activities are designed to be age-appropriate and developmentally challenging. Our day consists of both teacher-guided and child-initiated indoor and outdoor activities. Your child will have the opportunity to build relationships and develop appropriate academic and problem-solving skills.
In addition to traditional learning methods, Bilingual Child Academy has developed its own curriculum with a combination of the TEKS Texas Essential Knowledge & Skills, American Academy of Pediatric developmental milestones, NEAYC Standards, and our curriculum of Preschool First and Estrellita.
Our daily schedule includes routine of eating, toileting, indoor/outdoor activities, independent and group work, choice time, sleeping, play time, and structured academic activities that help children gain an understanding of themselves and others while engaging in interactive learning experiences.
Class sizes are limited to enhance dialogue, improve retention, while accelerate skill development plus all our teachers are native Spanish-speaking.
